NOTICE OF JOB OPPORTUNITY: Test Engineer

• Test Engineer with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics with course work/thesis in robotics, control system components/analysis, digital system controls, and thermodynamics.
• Requires 6 months of experience planning, developing, and building electronic data acquisition devices, sensor calibration and hardware and software integration using Na-tional Instruments LabVIEW, and demonstrated ability to use, C, Python, & NI TestStand required.
• Will assist the Engineering Manager in development of hardware and software architecture
• Develop software system utilizing National Instruments Lab View and Test Stand development
• Develop embedded micro-controller code; perform engineering analysis of projects in-cluding preliminary design, critical design and equipment selection to meet budgets and schedules
• Oversee review and acceptance of engineering change requests to specifications and design parameters
• Direct the preparation of blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other documenta-tion for use in fabrication in accordance with customer specifications, work instructions and TestPro Standard Operating Procedures
• Prepare technical fabrication specifications
• Interface with project management to address budgets and schedules
• Work with system integration team to provide technical expertise when required during integration process
• Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies or details;
• Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and best engineering practices
• Participate in the interview of potential new technical staff members
• Participate in planning and implementing departmental projects
• Communicate with corporate management on project issues
• Make technical presentations to management and staff
• Participate in identifying and developing new customers for products and services
• Research and develop strategies and plans that identify marketing opportunities for new product development
• Participate in the development of new project proposals
• Work with team to implement short- and long-range goals and objectives
• Represent and promote the Company at various community and/or business meetings
• Promote positive relations with partners, vendors and customers
• Work with corporate staff to develop Technology Road Maps and business plans
